Pen Rite recognized the need to provide a wide range of applications to support the mobile professionals. Today, Pen Rite can boast one of the most feature rich and diverse suites of retail sales force automation tools available to the CPG industry.
Microsoft® XP Tablet Technology: First introduced in 1992, our tablet SFA solution provided the premier solution for the industry. Originally based on GRiD Systems technology this product has been upgraded to Windows 3.11, Windows 95, and now XP Tablet. The latest "Ultra" product will be released in January 2007. The target audience for this product is direct manufacturers sales forces and broker dedicated retail teams.
- Pocket PC / CE Technology: First introduced in 1996, this platform has become the mainstay for field merchandisers. The lower hardware costs for this platform make it a very attractive alternative for organizations who need to deploy large teams while keeping costs down. The target audience for this product is any organization performing retail sales and/or merchandising functions in-store. This includes full retail sales forces, retail merchandising teams, ISE/reset teams, and other 3rd party merchandising teams.
- IVR/Speech Recognition: Pen Rite started with the traditional Interactive Voice Response system allowing reps to capture information on paper and then utilize the telephone to perform data entry of that information. This has transitioned to a speech recognition system that allows reps to key or speak responses. The newer technology is much more user friendly and can be customized to meet your needs.
- Web Enabled Transaction Systems: Pen Rite also provides parallel functionality to its Tablet and Pocket PC systems for entering surveys and store audits. This system is being expanded to include shelf distribution checks as well. This system can either be a standalone application in support of full or part time field personnel or used a backup system to the Tablet or Pocket PC systems. Access to this system is only limited to your ability to log on through a web browser.
- Reporting and Data Warehousing: Pen Rite has standardized in its report presentation using FAST Radar’s web reporting system. This is a totally thin client environment and can be accessed via any Internet Explorer browser. Pen Rite backs up its reporting with solid data warehousing designs and implementation based on the "Kimball" model.
- Enterprise Manager: Pen Rite's systems are supported by a full .Net/SQL Server 2000 or 2005 central server system. Pen Rite can host this application for you or for large installations, install and manage the system on your servers. This system controls all of the mobile applications providing communications and data integration between the central servers, field systems, and the reporting systems. This system is also used to replicate or Extract/Transform/Load data from our servers to your internal data warehouse. Pen Rite Systems have been developed and are maintained using only Microsoft® products.
