In addition to acoustic to WTM32, Quest offers the ability to communicate through the MC1000 to WTMiP the following ways:

Unlike competitive acoustic units which are limited to 1 or 2 mb of memory and a proprietary OS, the MC1000 from Motorola/Symbol offers a list of features from a strong company that will be able to service and support the MC1000 for years to come.

Utilizing the power of the MC1000, Quest was able to introduce and adapt its’ “Intelligent Order Entry” for the MC1000. Order books or data bases can be uploaded to the MC1000 to give the order taker instant feedback on product numbers either keyed in or scanned.

This instant feedback can help eliminate errors resulting from wrong item scans, wrong item number keyed into the unit, discontinued items, etc. Companies have indicated as much as 3 – 5 % revenue loss due to these factors. The MC1000 helps to increase sales and profitability through “Intelligent Order Entry”.

Intelligent order entry also allows for messaging – a great way to communicate with individual customers or blanket marketing of “specials”, “discontinued items”, “new items”, etc.
